Harbor Island is a part of upper Eleuthera, Bahamas, and to date the only place I've ever found brilliant pink sandy beaches. It is fairly well populated and has fine restaurants and marinas. The island of Eleuthera is over 110 miles long, extends south to Cape Eleuthera, and well worth discovery. The Exumas are a southern chain of Bahamian islands, some small and others smaller. Marinas and restaurants exist but are scarce...
beaches are plentiful and exist on what are but spits of rock. As is common everywhere in the Bahamas, the waters are beautiful shades of turquoise and other blues. If sharks, iguanas, swimming pigs and the most glorious sunsets on the planet interest you, then the Exumas await.
